Arkline Design is a small web design studio. We collect as little as possible, and this page explains all of it in plain language.

What we collect, and why

The project brief. If you send us a brief through the Start a project page, we receive what you typed: your name, email, your phone number if you chose to give one, whether you ticked the text message box, and anything you chose to share about your company and project. We use it for exactly one thing: reading your brief and replying to you. Submissions are delivered through Netlify Forms and stored in our Netlify account.

Email. If you email brody@arklinedesign.com, we have your email. We use it to reply.

Anonymous visit counts. We use Plausible Analytics, which is built to avoid personal data. It counts visits and pages without cookies, without storing your IP address, and without following you across the web. We cannot identify you from it, by design.

Text messages

If you ticked the box on the form. If you tick the text message box on the Start a project page, Arkline Design may send text messages to the number you entered. They come from (548) 325-8454. They are about the enquiry you sent and the work we do together: a reply to your enquiry, your quote, a question while a site is being built, and word when something is ready for you to look at. We do not send promotions or bulk marketing by text.

If you phoned us and we missed it. If you call (548) 325-8454 and we cannot pick up, we text that number back so you are not left waiting. The basis for that one is your own call: you dialled us and left the number on our screen. It is a reply, not marketing. Reply STOP to it and we will not text that number again.

Frequency, and what it costs. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Ticking the box is optional. It is not a condition of buying anything from us, and your enquiry is handled the same either way.

Stopping them. Reply STOP to any text and the texts stop. We send one message confirming it and nothing after that. Reply HELP for help, or reach a person at brody@arklinedesign.com or (548) 325-8454. You can also ask us to stop by email or phone, and you do not have to use the word STOP. Your number stays here. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

In plain terms: your consent to receive text messages is never sold, rented or passed to another business. The only companies that touch it are the ones that carry the message for us and the form service that delivers what you send. They act on our instructions and do nothing else with it.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not send marketing email, and we do not send marketing texts. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. The only messages you will get from us are about something you asked us about first.

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies. The site stores one small flag in your browser so the intro animation plays only once per visit. It contains no personal information and identifies nothing.

Third parties we rely on

The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs. Texts, calls and the booking page are handled by our phone and messaging provider, which stores the conversation and your appointment so we can reply to you and turn up at the right time. Fonts and scripts are served from our own site, so no other company sees your visit.

Keeping it safe

The site is served only over an encrypted connection, so everything you type into a form is encrypted on its way to us. What you send is held in our Netlify account and, if you ticked the text message box, in the system we use to send and receive texts. Both are reached through accounts only the owner of the studio can sign in to, and nobody else is given access.

No system is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If anything you sent us were ever exposed, we would tell you and tell you what to do about it.

How long we keep things

Briefs and emails are kept while we are talking or working together, and deleted when they are no longer needed. If you want yours gone sooner, ask.

Your rights

Email brody@arklinedesign.com at any time to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will do it promptly, no forms, no friction.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
