Yes, at any time. It goes onto the same subscription, the monthly figure changes from the next invoice, and nothing gets rebuilt. The cost of waiting is not the price, it is the calls that go to somebody else in the meantime, which is why we suggest starting with it if missed calls are what brought you here.
From a number set up for your business, in your name: the one printed on your website. Your existing number keeps working exactly as it does now, and the new one forwards to it. The difference is that the new one can text back when you cannot answer. The conversations and the contact list are yours, and if you ever leave we export the lot and hand it over.

The hosting is a free-tier account that any developer can redeploy your files to in under an hour. So if I were unavailable tomorrow, you would have a working website, full control of the address, and everything needed to hand it to somebody else. That is deliberate, and it is worth asking any studio you talk to.
